Partnerships

The Foundation works closely with the RPS office of School Community Partnerships. The Partnership coordinates volunteer efforts to help Richmond’s schools. Its efforts range from individuals being reading partners, and mentors with school students to extensive corporate partnerships involving area employers with hundreds of volunteers contributing thousands of hours to support city students and schools.

Many Partnership programs could be expanded with strategic donations to the Foundation. Support for Partnership programs could require financial support – often modest – that can be facilitated with a donation to the Foundation and linked to a specific Partnership program.

Partnerships allow volunteers to actively participate in the schools and also permit students to reach into the world outside their schools and interact with employers, faith-based organizations and other volunteers. The knowledge and experiences produced by these interactions is rewarding to students and volunteers alike.
