Scholarships for 2012 - 2013

The Foundation will be awarding the following scholarships to graduating seniors in May of the current school year.  Applications will be available from the Guidance Counselors at all Richmond Public Schools High Schools in late February. 

The Capital One Power of 9 Scholarships are awarded to nine RPS graduating seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement, academic improvement, community service, extracurricular involvement, and financial need.

The Dr. Deborah Jewell-Sherman Scholarship for Education is awarded to an RPS graduating senior planning to major in either primary or secondary education and obtain a Virginia teaching license. 

The Martin Agency Scholarship is awarded to an RPS graduating senior who is planning to pursue a career in advertising, journalism, public relations, photography or graphic arts.

The Virginia Credit Union Success Scholarships will be awarded to one graduating senior from each RPS high school meeting the eligibility requirements.

The Darlene L. Chaney Scholarship is open to female basketball players at Huguenot High School who are graduating seniors.

Persons contributing to existing schoalrships may mail donations to the Richmond Public Schools Education Foundation (301 North 9th Street, 17th Floor, Richmond VA 23219) or use a credit card by completing the Make a Donation page.
